Day 1 Tuesday, September 15 – Discovering Edinburgh

Depart for your overnight flight to the United Kingdom.  Meals will be served onboard.

Day 2 Wednesday, September 16 – Arrival in Edinburgh

Arrive in Edinburgh (EDI Airport)

Transfer to the hotel and settle in after travel

Evening: Welcome Meet & Greet at the hotel

Overnight: Edinburgh

Day 3 Thursday, September 17 – Discovering Edinburgh

Morning–Afternoon: Explore Edinburgh at your own pace

Suggested highlights:

Edinburgh Castle & the Royal Mile

St Giles’ Cathedral and Holyrood Palace

National Museum of Scotland

Optional: Walk up Arthur’s Seat for panoramic views

Evening: Introduction to the Isle of Iona presentation

Learn about the island’s history, spirituality, and your upcoming stay

Overnight: Edinburgh

Day 4  Friday, September 18 – Journey to Oban via Stirling

Depart from Edinburgh in the morning by private coach

Stop 1: Stirling Castle – one of Scotland’s grandest castles with sweeping views

Scenic Drive: Continue by bus through the Scottish Highlands, passing through Glencoe for a glimpse of its dramatic mountains and historic valleys

Evening: Dinner on your own — explore Oban’s waterfront restaurants and pubs

Overnight: Oban

Day 5 – Day 10 – Saturday, September 19 – Friday, September 25 – Retreat on Iona

Morning: Travel from Oban to the ferry terminal

Ferry from Oban → Craignure (Isle of Mull)

Scenic drive across Mull → Fionnphort

Short ferry crossing → Isle of Iona

Arrive on Iona and settle into accommodations

Orientation walk of the island (Abbey grounds, village, and shoreline)

Overnight: Isle of Iona

Day 11: Friday, September 25 – Return to the Mainland & Travel to Glasgow

Early morning ferry: Iona → Mull → Oban

Travel to Glasgow by private coach)

Afternoon: Free time to explore Glasgow

Suggestions: Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Riverside Museum, Buchanan Street shopping

Evening: Farewell Group Dinner & Processing Gathering

Reflect on the journey and share highlights together

Overnight: Glasgow

Day 12: Saturday, September 26 – Departure Day

Breakfast and airport transfers to Glasgow International Airport (GLA)

Depart for flights home to the U.S.
