Join Greater Milwaukee Synod of the ELCA led by Bishop Paul Erickson on a Solidarity & Accompaniment in the Holy Land March 10 – 19, 2026

Day 1:  Departure

• Depart for your overnight flight to the Holy Land. Meals will be served on board.

Day 2: Arrive in Tel Aviv and transfer to Bethlehem.

• Arrival and transfer to Bethlehem
• Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem

Day 3: Jerusalem 

• Visit Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem
• Meet with Church Leaders in Jerusalem
• Visit Sabeel and have lunch there.
• Meet Dr. Mustafa Sway (Muslim Scholar).
• Visit the Holy Sepulcher.
• Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem

Day 4:  Jerusalem

• Visit the Dome of the Rock & Al-Aqsa Mosque (Inside the buildings) with a Muslim Guide
• Meet with EAPPI.
• In Jerusalem, meeting at UNRWA or OCHA (Office for Coordination of Human Affairs)
• In the evening. Meet with Rifat Kassis or Nidal Abu Zuluf from Kairos Palestine
• Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem

Day 5: Bethlehem 

• Meet with Dr. Mazin Qumsieh from the Palestine Natural History.
• Meet with Rev Munther Isaac at the Christmas Lutheran Church
• Visit the Wiam Center and meet with Mr. Zoughbi Zoughbi
• Visit the Church of the Nativity
• In the evening, meet with the Military Court Watch
• Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem

Day 6:  Hebron

• Tour the old City of Hebron
• Meet with Issa Amro (Friends of Hebron)
• Visit the Ibrahimi Mosque
• After Lunch, drive to the Tent of Nations to meet Daoud Nassar. Opportunity to plant Trees.
• In the evening, meet with Sami Awad from Holy Land Trust.
• Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem

Day 7:  Bethlehem

• Worship with one of the 3 local ELCJHL communities
• A guided tour of Dheisheh Refugee Camp, Kristal (Justice) Elayyan.
• Walk by the wall and visit the Walled Off Hotel.
• Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem

Day 8:  Ramallah

• Visit Ramallah to meet with Sam Bahour
• Meet with Sahar Francis from Al Dameer Prisoners Society
• Meeting with Dr. Mustafa Al Barghouthi
• Dinner in Ramallah.
• Overnight in Bethlehem.

Day 9:  Jerusalem

• Meet Rev. Mitri Raheb at Dar Al Kalima and have lunch there.
• Political Tour of Jerusalem with Jeff Helper or an Israeli Guide Visit Environmental Education Center
• Meet with Sahar Vardi,
• Dinner with local Christian Families

Day 10:  Departure

• Depart, spread the word, and invite all to join you on your next trip.
