Day 1: – Departure
Depart the US for your overnight flight to the Holy Land. Meals will be served on board the flight.
Day 2: – Arrival, Tel Aviv Airport
Meet your guide at the airport, and drive to your hotel in Natanya for dinner and overnight. (D)
Day 3: – Caesarea, Aqueduct, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo, Nazareth
Start our visit to Caesarea Marittima, Mount Carmel, Megiddo, the place of Biblical Armageddon. Start your day with a drive along the Mediterranean coast to Caesarea, where you will explore the ancient harbor city built by Herod the Great, including the Roman Theater and Crusader remains. Continue to the nearby Caesarea Aqueduct, an impressive engineering marvel stretching along the shoreline. Travel onward to Nazareth, beginning at Mt. Precipice, overlooking the Jezreel Valley. Visit the Church of the Annunciation, one of Christianity’s holiest sites, and continue to the Synagogue Church, traditionally associated with Jesus’ early teaching in Nazareth. Afterward, drive to the Sea of Galilee area for dinner and an overnight stay (B,L,D)
Day 4: – Caesarea Philippi, Sea of Galilee
Start your day and head to Caesarea Philippi (Banias), where you’ll explore ancient ruins. Afterward, take in the distant views of Mount Hermon, Israel’s highest peak, as you continue your journey toward Dan Nature Reserve, known for its lush trails and natural springs. Next, stop at Nimrod’s Fortress, perched high in the Golan Heights, for stunning panoramic views. Finish your exploration with a drive through the Golan Heights, enjoying the sweeping vistas of valleys and mountains. Afterward, head to Tiberias for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s sights and history. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. (B,L,D)
Day 5: – Ministry Along the Sea of Galilee
Start your day at Yardenit, a peaceful baptismal site on the Jordan River, reflecting on Jesus’ baptism. Continue to Magdala, the hometown of Mary Magdalene, to visit the first-century synagogue and the beautiful Duc In Altum chapel overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Next, visit St. Peter’s Primacy, the serene lakeside site where Jesus reinstated Peter, and the Church of the Loaves and Fishes in Tabgha, commemorating the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. From there, make your way to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount, and enjoy the peaceful view over the lake. Continue on to Kursi, the site traditionally associated with the healing of the demon-possessed man, and then to Bethsaida, home of several of Jesus’ disciples and the setting of many miracles. See the Ancient Boat, a 2,000-year-old fishing vessel discovered near the Sea of Galilee, offering a glimpse into life at the time of Jesus. End the day with an evening boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight in Tiberius. (B,L,D)
Day 6: – Mountains and Miracles of the Galilee
Start your day at Mount Tabor, the traditional site of the Transfiguration, where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views of the Jezreel Valley. Continue to Mount Arbel to take in breathtaking vistas of the Sea of Galilee and the surrounding countryside. Travel to Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed His first miracle at a wedding feast. Take time to reflect on this moment of joy and transformation. Then continue to Gamla, often called the “Masada of the North,” to see ancient ruins and a dramatic landscape rich with history. Conclude your day at Hippos (Susita), overlooking the Sea of Galilee, with its remarkable Greco-Roman ruins and stunning sunset views. Dinner and overnight in Tiberius. (B,L,D)
Day 7: – From the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea
After breakfast, we check out of our hotel in Galilee. Begin your journey at Beth Shean, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Holy Land, with its grand theater and ancient streets. Continue to Harod’s Springs, where Gideon chose his warriors, before traveling to Jacob’s Well, the traditional site of Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman. End the day in Bethlehem for dinner and overnight (B,L,D)
Day 8: – Desert Strongholds and the Road to Jerusalem
After breakfast, depart for Jericho, the oldest inhabited city in the world. On the way, we will stop for a quick visit to Wadi Qelt, the “Valley of the Shadow of Death.” Continue to Jericho, where we will view the Monastery of the Mount of Temptation, then visit Elisha’s Spring, the source of Jericho’s life-giving water. Continue south through the Judean wilderness to Ein Gedi, an oasis where David hid from Saul. Continue to Masada, King Herod’s magnificent fortress and the site of the Jewish zealots’ last stand. Continue through the dramatic landscape. End the day in Bethlehem for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 9: – Bethlehem and the Heart of the Holy Land
Travel to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, marking the birthplace of Jesus, and the nearby Shepherds’ Field, where angels announced His birth. Enjoy time for shopping in local Christian stores before continuing to the Valley of Elah, where David defeated Goliath, and Samson’s Tomb. Return to Jerusalem to visit the Model City of ancient Jerusalem and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,L,D)
Day 10 & 11: – Walking in the Steps of Jesus in Jerusalem
Begin on the Mount of Olives, visiting the Chapel of the Ascension and the Church of the Pater Noster. Walk down the palm-lined path to the Garden of Gethsemane, spending quiet time in a garden beneath the ancient olive trees before visiting the Church of All Nations. Continue to Mount Zion to visit the Upper Room, David’s Tomb, and St. Peter in Gallicantu, the site of Peter’s denial.
The next morning, begin at the Western Wall for prayer, and if conditions permit, ascend to the Temple Mount to view the Dome of the Rock. Visit the Pool of Bethesda and Herod’s Antonia Fortress. Explore the Davidson Center and the southern Wall Excavations, including the Teaching Steps where Jesus may have walked. Walk the Via Dolorosa, the “Way of the Cross,” ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit the Pool of Siloam and conclude your pilgrimage with quiet reflection and communion at the Garden Tomb. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,L,D
Day 12: Departure – Farewell to the Holy Land
Depart to the airport for our return flight. We will arrive back in the USA the same day. (B,)
