Day 1 – 4th September 2026 (Friday): Departure

  • We depart on an overnight flight to Germany. Meals will be served on board!

Day 2 5th September 2026 (Saturday): Frankfurt arrival – Mainz tour – Worms

  • 9:50 AM Arrival at Frankfurt airport and meet your professional tour escort (flight: DL 086).
  • Transfer to Mainz
  • Lunch on your own
  • Visit Gutenberg Museum (entrance fee & guided tour included), see one of the original Gutenberg Bibles in one of the oldest museums of printing in the world.
  • Then take part in a guided city tour through the old town of Mainz .
  • Transfer to Worms
  • Check in at the hotel upon arrival
  • Welcome dinner with wine from vineyards in Rheinhessen at a local restaurant
  • Overnight at the hotel in Worms (D)

Day 3 6th September 2026 (Sunday): Worms tour – Eisenach (Wartburg Castle)

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check-out
  • Following breakfast, enjoy guided tour of Worms (local guide included) that includes Luther Monument, St. Peter’s Cathedral (free admission; subject to confirmation) and site of the Diet of Worms, where Luther defended his beliefs.
  • Lunch on your own
  • Depart for Eisenach
  • Tour of Wartburg Castle where Luther translated the New Testament in exile (entrance fee & guided tour & shuttle bus included).
  • Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight in Eisenach (B, D)

Day 4 – 7th September 2026 (Monday): Eisenach – Leipzig tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check out
  • Drive to Leipzig (the drive will take approximately 3,5 hrs)
  • Enjoy a guided Leipzig tour.
  • Visit St. Thomas Church, where Luther preached, introducing Reformation ideas, and later where Johann Sebastian Bach worked as cantor and director of music.
  • Then visit St. Nicholas’ Church, which became a center for the peaceful prayers and protests that helped bring down East German communism in 1989, echoing Bonhoeffer’s call for courageous faith (free admission).

  • Overnight at the hotel in Leipzig (B, D)

Day 5 – 8th September 2026 (Tuesday): Leipzig – Wittenberg tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel, check out, and depart for Wittenberg
  • Enjoy a guided tour of Wittenberg.
  • Visit Wittenberg All Saints Castle Church (Schlosskirche), where Luther nailed his 95 Theses in 1517. His tomb is also located here. You will also visit St. Mary’s Church, the town church where Luther often preached. Later, you will see the Lutherhaus exhibition in Augusteum: Luther’s former monastery home turned into a Reformation museum, with artifacts from his life and work.

  • Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight at the hotel in Wittenberg (B, D)

Day 6 – 9th September 2026 (Wednesday): Wittenberg – Berlin tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check out
  • Worship service at All Saints’ Castle Church
  • Drive to Berlin (drive will take approximately 3 hrs)
  • Lunch on your own
  • Afternoon walking tour of Berlin’s civic and spiritual heart to include Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, and Memorial Church (Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche) (exterior views).
  • Check in at the hotel for Dinner and overnight in Berlin (B, D)

Day 7 – 10th September 2026 (Thursday): Berlin – Lunow Stolzenhagen – Berlin

  • Breakfast at the hotel the depart for Lunow–Stolzenhagen, a historic Lutheran village in Brandenburg, representing rural parish life shaped by the Reformation.
  • Visit the local Lutheran church and hear about the introduction to the parish’s history (visit with TE).
  • Time for worship, prayer, and hymn singing at the local Lutheran Church with reflection on the Lutheran faith practiced through war, division, and reunification.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant on your own
  • Return to Berlin
  • Visit Topography of Terror (Nazi Resistance Museum), a museum in Berlin that documents the crimes of the Nazi regime and the resistance against it, located on the former SS and Gestapo headquarters site.
  • Visit to Bonhoeffer-Haus, the former home and memorial.
  • Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Berlin (B, D)

Day 8 – 11th September 2026 (Friday): Berlin – Herrnhut – Dresden

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check out
  • Drive to Herrnhut (drive will take approximately 4,5 hrs)
  • Lunch on your own en route
  • Visit Herrnhutter Sterne Manufactory (free admission).
  • Continue to Dresden (drive will take approximately 2,5 hrs)
  • Check in at the hotel with dinner and overnight in Dresden (B, D)

Day 9 – 12th September 2026 (Saturday): Dresden tour – Prague

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check out
  • Enjoy a guided tour of Dresden’s Old Town to include Zwinger Palace, Semper Opera, Elbe river walk with focus on WWII destruction & postwar restoration (exterior views).
  • Drive to Prague (drive will take approximately 4 hrs)
  • Lunch on your own en route
  • Check in at the hotel
  • Dinner at a local restaurant with a folk show
  • Overnight at the hotel in Prague (B, D)

Day 10 – 13th September 2026 (Sunday): Prague tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel, then enjoy a tour of Prague. You will see Jan Hus Memorial: a forerunner of the Reformation (exterior views).
  • Then visit Old New Synagogue: One of Europe’s oldest active synagogues.
  • You will also see Bethlehem Chapel, where Hus preached in the early 1400s, laying the groundwork for later reform movements.
  • Lunch on your own
  • Free time for leisure activities
  • Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Prague (B, D)

Day 11 – 14th September 2026 (Monday): Prague tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel, and enjoy a guided tour of Prague, including the castle district (Hradcany). Visit St. Vitus’ Cathedral with Wenceslas Chapel. Then, stroll through Mala Strana with its amazing architectural buildings.
  • Cross the Charles Bridge to visit the Old Town, which is considered to be one of the best historical city centers in Europe. Visit the Old Town Square, the Town Hall with its famous Astronomical Clock (exterior views only).
  • Lunch on your own
  • Afternoon and evening free time on your own for reflection.
  • Dinner at the hotel
  • Overnight at the hotel in Prague (B, D)

Day 12 – 15th September 2026 (Tuesday): Prague departure

    • Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Drive to Prague International Airport. 11:45 AM Departure flight back home (flight: AF 1383) (B).
